Description
The word ‘legend’ gets bandied around a lot these days, but former footy superstar Ken Hunter most certainly IS a bona fide legend, and he’s our special guest on the Food Bytes podcast this week. Skilful, feared and fearless, the Carlton great was known for his spectacular marks, and for going in where angels fear to tread! We talk to Ken about his playing days, how Aussie Rules footy has changed, his work in the mental health space with the Fifth Quarter Foundation, and why Italian food is always on the menu at his house! And in the Friday Food Poll this week … the beef burger and the vegie burger go head to head. Our extra seat at the Food Bytes table is Dr Anthony Dowling, Associate Professor of Medicine at University of Melbourne and a Consultant Medical Oncologist at St Vincent's Public Hospital Melbourne talking about the important work he is doing in cancer treatment and the role the wig and headwear studio has in patient wellbeing.    Here is the link to donate to he St. Vincent's Public Hospital Wig and Headware Studio.   https://www.stvfoundation.org.au/donate/wigs Presented by Sarah Patterson & Kevin Hillier Broadcast each Sunday on the ACE Radio Network - https://aceradio.com.au/ Catch us also on: The Buzzz - Melbourne's Home of Classic Hits - thebuzzz.com.au Radio 2DD - Easy Listening - On Line - https://www.2dd.online/ Radio Bayside - Stream.radiobayside.com  Follow us on Facebook...https://www.facebook.com/foodbyteswithsarahpatterson/ Twitter & Instagram - @sarahfoodbytes Post-production by Chris Gates  for Howdy Partners Media | www.howdypartnersmedia.com.au/podcasts © 2024 See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
