“Let me start with saying soccer (football) is my favorite sport. So when Ted Lasso came out I was initially excited to the point where I have Apple TV for a singular reason. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of friends to discuss it with so I went looking for a podcast to see if I can talk about the depths of the show with other people. So far, I’ve listened to about half of the “Do the Right-est thing” episode and I have to say I’m not exactly happy. 20 minutes in and they were still talking about past episodes, which felt like I was listening to an older episode, rather than a short summary to catch up the listener.
Another note, and maybe it’s just the fanatic in me that wishes the hosts knew more about the sport. They talked about not knowing what happens when a game ends in a draw which showed that the pod is hosted by a bunch of critics just talking about a tv show where they understand only the TV/filming aspect of the show rather than the content being filmed.
Maybe not a podcast for me, but if you like Ted Lasso and are critical about the pacing of the show and how maybe characters changing is faster than your liking then this pod is for you.”
