Good topics buuuuuuut…
The topics are great. There is a mix of stuff that you’ve heard of with stuff you likely haven’t. I love that. The length is a pro and a con for me. Sometimes it’s just too brief for me and I wish there was 10-15min more and other times it feels just right and I can do more reading on my own. I have two reasons for not giving this podcast five stars. 1. I’ve noticed some inaccuracies and there isn’t any sort of correction for them done in editing. For the most part they seem like TK just misspoke and said 12,000 instead of 1200 or BCE instead of CE but it still matters. 2. The over usage of the phrase “but I digress.” It comes out A LOT—not just every episode but oftentimes several times an episode—especially in the earlier episodes. I find it annoying. Is it the end of the world? No. Am I going to stop listening over it? Also no. But it does grate on me each time I hear it.

I like the way TK speaks and it’s a good fit for listening during cooking or other household chores. I’ve found...Read full review »

TK is a lot of fun. She talks about a wide variety of historical topics. I focused on American history in my studies, so I love hearing about people and/or events I may not have as much familiarity with in other parts of the world and other periods of history.
