Navigating the Pain of Child Loss with Dr Sue Denk
Listen now
Description
One of the most painful experiences a parent can go through is a child dying. The pain is a special pain and never fully dissipates. So many people who lose a child feel isolation, like society expects them to hide or put their child behind them. Our guest this week walked through this experience herself and one of her missions in life is to connect and help others who are forced to walk this path. She earned her doctorate in psychology after she turned 50 and has co written a book with Brenda Pierce, a fellow mom of a “secret child” about their journey of loss and healing. Come listen to our conversation about the book, the journey and these incredible women. https://www.thesecretchildbookseries.com/post/press-release Just a reminder that books and podcasts about mental health are intended for informational purposes only, if you, or someone you know, is in immediate crisis or danger, please call 988 the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
