So. Many. Errors.
I am astounded that this podcast can be so lazy. The narrator accounts for most of this show’s problems, as she frequently stumbles over her own words. Normally that’s not an issue; happens all the time. But instead of a quick re-record and an easy edit on the back end, she takes the lazy way out and runs the whole recording without edits. Some examples of embarrassing errors: The narrator says the perpetrator’s sentence is “to be conserved consecutively,” where she clearly was reading ahead to the next word and combined the two words together accidentally. Additionally, she uses words that don’t exist: “infamousy” instead of “infamy” and “passer-byers” instead of “passers-by.” These are just a few examples; there are plenty more. And supposedly she has a master’s degree. I won’t comment on her annoying voice inflections that make her sound like an amateur, since I assume that’s just listener preference. The script, too, seems partly to blame, as many phrases are repeated so many times, you become tired of hearing it. “You already said that” kind of thing. Either way it’s wildly aggravating trying to listen to a potentially good show and having it ruined by laziness. Skip this show if you don’t want to grind your teeth every five minutes because of eye-rolling errors.
