Reflect today on any moments when you’ve felt hostility toward another person. What fruit did it bear? Did it glorify God, or leave you feeling agitated and restless? Were you thinking clearly, or was your perspective clouded by pride and anger? Be honest in your reflection, and you will begin to find freedom from this kind of thinking. Trust that God will handle justice. Your job is to forgive, show love, and focus on following God’s will with peace and charity.

Take some time to reflect on what has recently upset you. Could it be that God is using these moments to show you an area in need of change? If you feel defensive, it might be a sign that you need to address something within yourself. A pricked conscience is a gift from God, an opportunity to grow. Embrace it, rather than taking offense, and you will be on the path to greater holiness.

Reflect on Jesus’ strong words: "You fools!" Don’t take offense, these are words of love. Jesus uses them to wake the Pharisee up to his hypocrisy. Hear them as if spoken to you. We all need to be transformed internally. Maybe pride has led you to judge others, or perhaps you’re unaware of sins that need addressing. By accepting these words with humility, Jesus can open your eyes to areas in your life that need change.

When we base our decisions on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, we find the only sign we truly need to navigate life's challenges.

Jesus doesn't hesitate to ask for everything from us. Consider what attachments you’re holding onto, and listen for Jesus speaking to you, as He did to the rich young man. Let go of your astonishment and make total surrender to God your way of life.

Don’t let excuses or distractions keep you from spending time with God. Make a commitment to sit at Jesus' feet in prayer and adoration. If you do, you’ll find your life more peaceful and fruitful, with the time spent in prayer bearing more fruit than all the other tasks of the day.

Reflect on two things: First, how open is your heart to what Jesus wants to tell you? If you asked Him, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” would He be able to speak to you deeply, or would He only offer a general response? Second, if you find yourself constantly defending your faith to someone, reconsider your approach. The deepest truths of our faith should be shared with those who are truly open to them.
