An Exemplary Podcast
I love podcasts, but I don’t have the patience for “three guys riffing into a mic” style shows. What Chris Cooling has done with “Forgotten TV” is really special: It’s scripted, but never cold or dull. His research on these shows is incredibly deep, but he has a great sense of which details are needed to tell the stories of these ill-fated TV shows. I knew there was something special here when I found myself captivated by the podcast’s deep dive into the late 70s sitcom “Angie”, which, despite the fact that I barely remember the actual TV show, was absolutely fascinating. Since then, I’ve really enjoyed Chris laying out the histories of shows I’ve never even seen! The podcast is that good. And his series on “Kolchak: The Night Stalker” is not be missed by any fan. There is plenty of subtle humor too, which makes the podcast very easy to listen to in long stretches. One of the best.

Remarkable how a single host voice can still be entertaining! Great work! Great audio and of course great content and attitude! This show gives a very objective view of old time television! Refreshing to not hear negative all the time!

If you revel in quality research then this podcast is for you. I selfishly wish it came out more often, but I do love relistening to the older episodes. Well done!!
