Blowing one’s own trumpet
Having the showrunner host the podcast is nonsensical. It would be one thing if Goyer add an ounce of modesty, but to listen to him go on about how wonderful his show is, is hardly entertaining. He gives almost no credit to Asimov (which is laughable) and is almost constantly praising his own choices. In the second episode, one of the writers joins both hosts. They talk about how a certain scene makes the viewer cry. No it didn’t. I’m enjoying the show, but to think that they could make the audience cry after spending 5 minutes with a character is a vast over-estimation of their own limited talent. So far, no one on the writing staff seems to come close to Asimov. This podcast needs a big fat dose of objectivity.

More reviews of Foundation
I think you need to address the elephant in the room. This show is not Foundation. I am still waiting for someone to film Foundation. I stopped watching after the first two episodes.
Why is this difficult via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/05/21
I admit, I’ve been all over the place on how I feel about the series. At first loving it, then feeling like it was getting overly contrived then after the 7th episode feeling much better again about it. I just need to calm down and finish the season then reflect a bit, I guess.
