Disappointed in the PC
I was as excited about this as I was about Dune. I am ok with changing things up to reflect a more modern take on the story. But when you have your writers hating Harry because they think he’s on an ego trip, and most male characters are incredibly shallow, horribly mean, extremely shallow, being used as pawns in a story which is being written as a commentary on how white men have been and incredibly oppressive force to the empire for millennia. You are starting to lose me. Please dial back the wokeness, hire a writer who comes from Nebraska or North Carlin’s maybe instead of someone who hates men so much. Once I get past all that the show is visually stunning and I can see for someone who hasn’t read the books and lives in LA or NYC or Seattle will enjoy sexually ambiguous women of color trying to fix everything the white guys (including Harry of course) have screwed up.
