Lance interviews John Clor this week on the Ford Mustang Podcast with stories from one of the foremost authorities alive today on the Ford Mustang. About John Clor: Veteran journalist John Clor has owned, raced, worked on and written about Fords and Mustangs for nearly 50 years. After a 15-year career at The Detroit News, Clor shifted to automotive journalism as an Auto Editor at AutoWeek and later Edmunds.com. He joined the Ford Special Vehicle Team in 1995 and spent most of the next decade working on SVT Communications, PR and Marketing. In 2007 he developed and began overseeing a club outreach program for Ford Racing that is now known as Ford Performance Club Connect, and today manages enthusiast communications for Ford Performance as well as the enthusiast content on FordPerformance.com. Clor is an Iacocca Award Winner, author of the critically acclaimed books Mustang 2015 and Mustang Dynasty (2007 & 2009) and has penned countless articles and columns on the Mustang for a variety of magazines over the years. Today he appears on TV, video, film, radio and in-person promoting the Mustang and Ford Performance. Clor has served on the Board of the MotorCities National Heritage Area, hosts a show called “Cars In Context” that evolved from local cable access to YouTube, and co-hosts a weekly “Mustang Owner’s Podcast” for the Mustang Owner’s Museum. He’s also the proud owner of three Mustangs, including one he’s called "a long-term project" for some two decades.
We tackle subjects like how can the Mustang Club of America get more involved in the younger generation group of Mustang enthusiasts and pass on the knowledge and experience they have, to social media and how it effects information.
