A Gift to Humanity
I don't normally write reviews and certainly not about podcasts. But Frank Delaney's exceptional endeavour, his exceptional gift to the world, is so utterly intoxicating, so unremittingly worthy and so unendingly satisfying, that even I could not fail to be moved to act. Let yourself get spirited away for a few minutes each week, back to 16th June 1904, to the strange and wonderful Dublin of James Joyce, to a treasure trove of rare words and hidden meanings. You cannot fail to be moved by the eloquent Mr Delaney, with his lyrical lilt and his passionate patois. They should make this essential listening for Literature students. For the rest of us, it is the absolute essence of life, and all that is wonderful about this miracle of existence that we all endure. Thank you Frank Delaney. Does the world love re: Joyce? Yes, yes, yes!

Delaney is pure delight - erudite, educated, funny, and to the point. I couldn't read Ulysses without this podcast. It even got me to Dublin. Thank you Frank! (and James)Read full review »

If only there were podcasts like this for all my books. Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication in putting this together.

If you’ve ever wanted to read Ulysses but have felt too intimidated by its reputation, then this is the podcast for you. It has opened up the magical world of Joyce and Ulysses for me. Thanks Frank.
