“As another Washington Parish native, this has been extremely eye opening. I know and have loved almost every single person “of authority” in this podcast. I, like many others who are from here, turned a blind eye to the corruption of Washington Parish and instead, removed myself from what I used to consider such an innocent, tight knit, and honest community. Boy, did I miss the obvious that was practically thrown into my face.
As a close family member of an ER nurse who worked hand in hand with almost all parties involved in the prior episodes, I know or have known almost every single person involved in this case and have for over 15 years of my life. I don’t want to say we know what happened because I didn’t know a lot of things that I know now… but to me it has always been pretty obvious… I could always be wrong… but what do they always say? “If it were a snake it would have bit ya”? That’s just my opinion, though. I’m not a detective or anything like that but do I really need to be captain obvious?
In a sense, I hope you blow my mind and it’s nowhere near the person I have always thought it was but so far… it’s not leaning any other way.
I do hope that you know this is lifting a huge burden off of a lot of people who, unfortunately, did not have the voice that you have and the bravery to get to the bottom of it. I hope the person that did this is brought to justice and that the people that need to be, are held accountable. Thank you, Tucker. For shedding light on something that has been shoved into the dark for only God knows why.”
