“I don’t say things are life changing very often, but this podcast and they way positive parenting is taught has truly been life changing for myself and my family. We weren’t in any sort of dire straights prior to the podcast, but I had found over years that many of the things that were recommended to me (e.g. time out/123 Magic, cry it out/Ferber) just didn’t feel good for me and even if they “worked” they made my first son really mad/sad/scared and didn’t help him learn so much as force him into compliance. I had already stopped using these approaches with my second and third child, but I felt like I really needed more tools and I didn’t know what to use in its place. I am so grateful to have found this podcast. I have learned tools that are more effective for behavior and also nurture my relationships with my children and help us all to understand our emotions better. I wish I had these tools when my first child was born but I am so happy to have them now! My 6year old now tells his brothers to come to me when they’re upset because I’m really good at helping them learn about their feelings. It is so rewarding to hear. By the way I am still by no means the perfect parent, but I am way better than I was before this podcast. Thank you!!”
