“Just started listening to the podcast on WandaVision episode 1 and on. I wish these guys had this podcast when the MCU was just getting started. This isn’t just 2 guys rambling and geeking out about the show but at the same time IT IS 2 guys rambling and geeking out about the show. They walk a fine line of linear, organized podcast to becoming giddy about what they just watched. I love it.
I appreciate having one talking head (Kyle) who is just an MCU guy only, like myself, talking to another (Robby) who has the deep knowledge of the comics. For a ‘MCU only’ fan it’s refreshing to hear about old comic storylines that Marvel could be picking inspiration from or not.
For WandaVision especially this is the best companion to each episode. The guys are so thorough and specific picking apart every scene. I love hearing their predictions and theories but this leads me into my ONLY real gripe so far....
It seems like they are lecturing us, the audience, to not theorize or predict. they spend a good amount of their pod episodes hammering home not to get excited or believe what’s going to happen next in fear that we will be let down. And for me, the theorizing and guessing for this show specifically is the best part. I understand they don’t want the MCU to become what some of the Star Wars properties have become but at the end of the day, toxic fans are going to toxic fan. I steal theories from you guys and all over the internets to make my own assumptions and I know at the end of the day what I think doesn’t change the story we’re given. Just hoping you guys wouldn’t worry about fans speculating so much.
Sorry to include this criticism, but if I’m not clear enough I LOVE THIS SHOW. I’m so excited I found this podcast for the future of MCU stuff. You guys seriously are the perfect pair. I’m going to do some rewatches of old movies to catch up on your past episodes.
