Weird acting choices
Really weird choice to make the actors be literally always sobbing. I’m assuming it wasn’t the actors fault unless they all coincidentally chose to overact in the exact same way, plus it wasn’t so much bad acting as it was just unrealistic, so I’m blaming production. Two years out at sea running from literally everything and surviving from rain water and fishing you’d think it’d be a pretty obvious choice to make the characters more aloof/numb/stoic, used to doing what’s necessary to survive, anything more realistic than having an emotional sobbing meltdown every minute of the day (not to mention the high pitch of the whining from all three of them being pretty hard on the ears). Just seemed like someone needed to remind them that there are ways to act anxious/ terrified without sounding like your literally in tears all the time. It was very distracting to say the least, definitely takes you out of the story which could have been a lot spookier /more tense had they made the characters act a bit more realistically. Hoping it gets better in the second season.
