(Mill. Star 15:825) Nearly every religion in the world has broken off from some other religion-some from an originally true church, but most from some other dissenter. Almost all Protestant churches have come from their mother church, the Catholic. Likewise, doctrines in these churches usually come from perverting or changing true ones. Little deviations and modifications soon become great ones. After the passage of time, they can even become directly opposite to the original teachings.
