The primary reason why furries may want to get a fursuit is to perform in one in front of others. But in a majority of those cases, these performances are conducted at places like furry conventions, meetups, or other areas where being in a large animal costume isn't out of the ordinary. But a lot of fursuiters don't limit their performances to just furry spaces; many take their suits out into the general public in an effort to surprise and delight those who may have never seen a fursuit before, in an effort to show the pubic a little bit of what this fandom has to offer!
