“These guys are fantastic and have a wealth of experience and a war chest of stories and equally fascinating guests… it just kills me when they start random name dropping for some non-guest supervisor or co-worker, no matter how impressive that person is, it only reminds us of what an exclusive club they’re in and we are NOT part of it. It’s distributive to the story the guest is telling. The ‘Hey, did you work with so and so’ gets repetitive and serves no purpose for the listener’s experience. It actually is a jolting reminder that ‘we are not in your club’. It breaks the spell of being immersed in the guests narrative. I hate to be critical, but this is the sole flaw in this great show. I really do love it and want it to be even better. If you’re reading this and take note. Thank you! Truly appreciate your efforts in bringing these people to us and giving them a platform to share the amazing jobs they do!”
