“This was really well done and there were times in the first few episodes that I had to think back to season 8’s actual plot because the two lined up very closely but some character’s choices were changed. The voice actors did a great job embodying the characters and the narrator did a wonderful job. The audio mixing was a little weird at times, but considering no one made a dime off this show, it is clearly a labor of love.
(Spoilers:) The last two episodes were a little confusing: especially switching back and forth between Jon & Bran’s perspective, Arya killing Grey Worm and stealing his face without any indicator to the listener aside from a throw away line 10-20 minutes later, and Bran warging (permanently?) into Drogon at some point. Overall, I think this telling makes better use of sub plots that were completely disregarded in the TV show (ie Arya’s abilities, prince that was promised, Bran as 3 eyed raven etc) but also leaves me with a bunch of questions. What’s the point of Jon as Night King? What is the candle for? What did the knife wound in Bran’s stomach do? What happens next?”
