interesting but….
I have enjoyed listening to Gary Renard ….especially his books (audio form) and find his contribution to the understanding of ACIM very enlightening, So I was slightly surprised and taken aback by his comments at the start of this podcast relating to the way homosexuals were treated by the UK! I found it quite odd indeed considering in the US it wasn’t until 2003 (!!) that the supreme court struck down the still existing laws in some states (Lawrence vs Texas). To add the comment about native Australians being mis-treated when there is such a terrible history of the native American indians treatment was absolutely ridiculous. I couldn’t see the link to the film that was being recommended. Surely the point SHOULD have been, homosexuals were treated terribly in most - if not all - countries at that time (even supposed ‘civilised’ ones….inc america!) and gay people continue even to this day to battle for equality. As for the mis treatment of a particular group of peoples, again, surely a more objective comment could have been….many ‘civilised countries…inc ours (i.e.: america) have histories that are unpleasant to look back on. But to imply no such history exists for the US is absolutely ridiculous . These comments surprised me and put me off the rest of the podcast.
