Ruth and the New Exodus
Listen now
Description
The book of Ruth repeats the exodus story making it a new exodus. In Ruth, Naomi and Ruth are led out of exile and find a full and satisfying life because of the Davidic line. These connections back to the exodus teach us that Ruth is far more than just a sweet love story that leads to the eventual birth of David. Since Ruth is a new exodus story, this book is looking forward to a future day when Jew and Gentile together will enjoy life under the reign of Jesus, the Davidic king.
