Great Podcast
I have really gotten into podcasts over the past few years. I initially started with the larger podcasts such as the Nerdist or Mac Weekly, I figured that the more listeners, the better the podcast must be, right? I read io9 fairly often and noticed that Geeks Guide was the sister podcast to the site. I downloaded the episodes and was hooked right off the bat. GREAT interviews with fantastic authors (all who are very casual and friendly). The interviews are structured and the questions are always insightful. I find myself forging my own questions to pose to the interviewee only to find that those same questions are asked later in the interview by the hosts. It is said that nerds are often endearing and friendly and I never feel like the interviews are standofish. The authors and interviewers seem like old friends who have come together to discuss a common love of science fiction and fantasy. I also enjoy the themed structure of the show. Starting with an interview and segwaying into discussing great short stories (I keep a notepad to write down their suggested books). They also cover a good deal of science fiction and fantasy movies (both good and bad). I enjoy hearing someone reference a movie like Event Horizon, even when the comments are not so kind ;). Overall an addictive and entertaining podcast, keep up the great work and thanks for all you put into the show. I also want to note that I have never reviewed anything on iTunes including podcasts. I just love the show so much I want to make sure other people hear about it.

Geek's Guide to the Galaxy is an awesome addition to the commute--or maybe even workout?--of a modern geek. The format, an interview followed by host commentary, keeps the show fresh, and the variety of guests means there's content for all sub-categories of geek (except maybe furries, but...Read full review »

Sound quality is good. The interviews are well conducted and the conversations afterwards actually stay on topic. Good job you guys!
