Compassionate, Mature and Respectful
The issues around “gender identity” are complex and diverse, especially as they relate to pediatric transition and youth, so it is refreshing to see these addressed in all their complexity by two seasoned therapists. I appreciate the effort both hosts take to place all of these discussions in context: socially, historically, and within the longer history of psychology. Each episode so far is focused and their guests are also well-grounded and articulate. Follow-on resources are often found in the “show notes,” making it easier to follow up on the many interesting references they make. My absolute favorite new podcast in 2021, and possibly on schedule to become one of my top-ten favorites ever. A breath of fresh air around a contentious topic, which never loses sight of the unique humanity for each and every person involved.
