Circular Cities Initiatives and The Example of Prague with Vojtech Vosecky
Listen now
Description
Over half of the world’s population lives in urban areas, making these spaces a good starting point for rethinking how we use existing resources and identifying how we can reuse materials in a closed-loop manner. In this week’s episode of the Getting in the Loop circular economy podcast, I speak with Vojtěch Vosecky from Circle Economy about circular cities. You’ll learn what the city of Prague is doing to move towards a circular economy and how they have adopted circular economy strategies, especially in public purchasing and procurement policies. Many of the examples Vojtěch shares are related to the biocycle and biological materials, including circular agriculture processes and public awareness campaigns to help reduce food waste.
