My Neighbor Totoro
I am from Hong Kong, during my childhood was the time this film came out. I remembered all the children around my ages are obsessed with it. All of us will at least had one of the characters of this film in soft toy version ( I had the cat bus! ). In Chinese translations of the film I remember that the village the family move to is actually named “ Totoro Mountain “; there is a local legend that a spirit they called Totoro which can only seen by children with pure hearts of good. And they will be there to help when you needed. I guess is like the protect Angels western world will tell their children when they growing up :)
