“First off, I LOVE this podcast!! It kills me that it’s only one day a week!
I have only one ghost story but it’s always stuck with me. I might seem cliche but it’s what really happened.
I grew up in the same house age 0-17 in phoenix Arizona. One night when I was about 13/14, I was having issues sleeping so I had been up playing around on my computer. I decided to go get a drink. Just as I opened the door ( which made no noise), I saw someone coming down the hallway. She was NOT solid and seemed to be almost floating. I don’t specifically remember what she was wearing. I got a very calm, serene, maternal feeling. I wasn’t scared. As she got closer, she just disappeared. I KNEW it was my great grandmother who we called Nan. I had met her when I was a baby but didn’t have any memories of her. Needless to say, I did not get my drink.
The next day I mentioned to my father that I had seen Nan and he wasn’t shocked. Apparently he had seen her before. My father was her favorite grandson (also her first and her first to give her great grandkids). He felt the same in that she wasn’t there for anything malicious. She was just there to check on us.”
