“I appreciate that you can tell the time and effort put in by both hosts when it comes to research, you do hear they do care about their work. The thing is, both of them have kinda flat sounding voices without much inflection or excitement, I find I zone out and missed things because there isn’t a hook. It has a scripted sounds to it, like they are reading even the jokes off a piece of paper, there isn’t enough of a natural flow, maybe a lack of chemistry between the hosts 🤷🏼♂️ making it not sound like a genuine as I’m sure they would like it too. The often dead air spaces between when a joke is being added in or a “skeptical” statement for a reaction. I think Rebecca should sound more engaging when taking about the background and stories, I think Pat should sound more enthralled into figuring out what or if these things could be true. One big note, when it comes to the research, I think looking up and making sure you know how things are supposed to be pronounced is meaningful, even can be used as a education journey for the listening… aka “I thought it was this, but after reaching the name, this is how you say it’s and this is why….”. The sound effects and music to me, are over done and not crisp enough with the transitions, like they are still trying to figure out what they are doing and it’s throwing off a natural flow which I feel they struggle with already. The music break’s definitely need to be much shorter. I am writing this as honest feedback, I want you to improve and continue to put out your content, representing the Midwest/Chicago and how awesome we are. I wish y’all the best, keep going!”
