Great Storytelling Podcast!
Having now listened to all the episodes, I can say that Liz Sower is a great storyteller and an engaging host. She is able to easier convey dread and fear juxtaposed with humor throughout. Sure, there are times when she doesn’t follow her own history or continuity, but it helps to think of this podcast more of an anthology than a one long-winding tale. Sower is creative and inventive with her creatures. She does an excellent job of hooking the listener, even if she doesn’t quite stick the landings or bring satisfying conclusions to more than a handful of her episodes. I guess on that point, she very much IS like Stephen King. This podcast is not perfect, but it is EXCELLENT and well worth your time. Ignore the right-wing reviewers who rate this podcast low because they want to make bizarre political points for a storytelling podcast and want to complain about imagined “wokeness.” Sower’s personal beliefs of being kind and compassionate to others are not political. She is just demonstrating being a good human being. The added occasional F-bombs are a glorious bonus. In any case, this podcast deserves a huge audience.

Well I started listening to the show last night and I had trouble sleeping because it was so compelling and spooky. I listen to a lot of horror story podcasts and I'd place this up there with The No Sleep Podcast, Limetown, The Black Tapes, etc. I've already binged through half the...Read full review »
