Exquisitely, heart-achingly good.
I binged this in one go. It was superb. Such beautiful storytelling; such brutal honesty. I’m glad I didn’t listen when I was out in public, because it made me teary. Michelle’s story is gutting, and her telling of it is unflinching. I want to send this series to so many women in my life — partially as a cautionary tale to take your own health seriously, but even more so because of the exquisite, painful, love-filled, grief-streaked universality of the writing. Do yourself a favour and set aside an hour to listen when you won’t be interrupted and you don’t have anywhere to be. “A woman’s lot in life is to suffer.” Indeed.
