I nearly didn’t listen—not because I didn’t think it would be excellent, but because I wasn’t sure it would resonate with me as a person who didn’t struggle with fertility. What I didn’t realise was that, despite my relative ease in falling pregnant, I was a woman in her 20s and then her 30s and now 40s who has experienced the fears, insecurities, guilt, pressures and joy of womanhood and then motherhood and it is very much for me. Beautiful. Honest. Heartbreaking. Empowering. Cathartic. Well done, Michelle.
