Good show, but they are so wrong about the McDonald’s coffee case
I enjoy listening to this monthly podcast and usually do not leave reviews until now. The McDonald’s case regarding the lady dropping coffee on her lap is one of the most misunderstood cases of all time. It takes about 5 minutes to read the case instead of live reading it and trying to make jokes about it to understand what really happened. This poor lady’s reputation has wrongly been made the butt of all jokes since the 90s. She never made any money from the case because she died before the verdict had been settled after McDonald’s appeal. In addition, she was originally only seeking costs for medical expenses, not multiple millions of dollars. McDonald’s is a multi billion dollar company that in the end became more popular and only had to pay about 15 minutes of its coffee sales in one day as retribution to their insanely hot coffee at the time.

More reviews of GLoP Culture
I love this podcast. It's great to hear the guys talk about things unrelated to politics. Goldberg, Long, & Podhoretz have wonderfully unique personalities, and I enjoy their banter as they discuss cultural topics of the day.Read full review »

The three hosts clearly enjoy each other’s company and have a good time together. They try to talk about culture, but invariably turn to politics, which is fine because Ricochet is a politics web site for the most part. This is a fun podcast to listen to.

GLOP is one of my favorite podcasts. It's witty and entertaining, and I only wish new episodes came out more often. I do have to say, though, John Podhoretz needs to learn to let others talk and not dominate the conversation as much as he does.Read full review »
