“Following his episode on white privilege I am no longer going to follow this podcast. I speak as the son of a Guatemalan immigrant who came to this country and had every opportunity to build up his own business and was given work opportunities from people of all ethnicity and race, do not speak of privilege as an attack on a group of people based on their skin color. There are pockets of privilege all over the world and in this country, but there is no uniformity in privilege. As an ignatian podcast, you shouldn’t just adopt narratives of the day and pass them off as ignatian. There was no balance in what you presented, but a one sided attack on a group of people. Very disappointed. The reason I am unfollowing is that I want to better my life in the podcasts I listen to, and am not looking for modern polarizing narratives in a ignatian spirituality podcast. If I did, I would just follow political podcasts.”
