In this lesson, Jesus encourages His disciples by preparing them for what will come. They do not realize He is about to be arrested and crucified. Not only will they find out their beloved brother, Judas was a phony this entire time but also the Messiah that they thought would free them from Rome was about to be humiliated and crucified.  Jesus is encouraging them and all of us today that we too may fall short and seem to distance ourselves from the cross, but He will always remain faithful to us. We too will deal with Judas. We too will be persecuted for our faith.
