Hooked!
First of all, I have only written a review for a handful of apps and/or products. Never a podcast. I’m fairly new to the world of podcasts. However, the way River and his father ask for listeners to subscribe, rate and review in the first full episode was clever AND funny. Two things I absolutely love. (I also love shenanigans, btw!!!) I knew right then that I was going to have to figure out how to rate and review an Apple Podcast. I had already mastered the class on how to subscribe. As you can see, I figured it out! So, River, I am a little bit familiar with cult like churches due to my parents being members of New Life Assembly of God in my very early childhood years. Playing with a deck of cards was evil, The Smurf’s cartoon…remember that one? It was of the devil. Therefore, I was never allowed to watch an episode. Ever. There are several, several other things, however, for the sake of time I will stop there. You get the point. Because of this your podcast caught my attention and has now really peeked my interest. So this is what I’m listening to every day while I walk my mile. I find myself looking forward to the next evening so I can either finish the podcast from the night before or start the next episode. You are a very good speaker/storyteller and I find your podcast to be riveting. Please keep them coming, River, please?

River is uniquely qualified to tell this story and does it with compassion, grace, and humor. Even the ads are unique. Can’t...Read full review »

Very well done and captivating! I listen/watch a lot of cult docs and this one has me hooked from the get go. Highly recommend.

I keep checking for episode 3 about 4 times a day. The mystery of the leader has me guessing so much I can’t believe this isn’t a plot to a fictional movie. I’m tempted to do research myself but River makes it so interesting that I’m entrusting it all to him and I’ve been avoiding researching it...Read full review »
