“I’ve always loved sports—playing, watching, analyzing—to the extent that I was that 10-year-old girl tuning into the brand new sports talk radio station when it came to Dallas in 1994. But as a woman listening to sports talk radio, I always felt at best unseen and at worst outright unwanted and antagonized. As I got older, I gradually stopped listening, and even stopped watching sports as much thanks both to getting older/having kids and also to getting really disillusioned with things like Penn State’s coverup of Sandusky. Fast forward to the pandemic and A Touch More, which got me into the WNBA and NWSL, and it’s been an amazing way to rediscover everything I loved about sports without all the baggage I hated. The only thing missing has been the day-to-day sports conversation that I used to love about sports radio. Until now! I love this show so much and listen every day (a P1, in sports talk radio terms 😂). My only wish is for a paid option without ads.”
