“Good Show is witty and smart. It’s super relevant to Toronto sports fans. I would be absolutely furious if it ever got taken off the air (but I wouldn’t put it past SN), which is why I’m writing a review you should too :)
They have well chosen guests that have a comfort level with Ben and JD leading to non cliche real informative answers. Justin Bourne, Matthew Barnaby, Sage Rosenfels, and the goat Colby Armstrong are among the best. JDs hilarity on its own is worth tuning in for. They play the hypothetical game well, taking it in creative routes I hadn’t even considered myself. All and all a very enjoyable upbeat listen.
As every Toronto sports fan knows the gold standard for Sports radio (or podcasts) is TSN’s Overdrive. Good Show is without a doubt the only other show that holds a candle to Overdrive. Justin Bourne is a next generation Ray Ferraro like hockey interview. If you told me JD was Jeff O’Neil’s illegitimate son I wouldn’t be that surprised.
Do yourself a favour and add this show to the arsenal.
