Text: Prov 13:15-19 ESV 15 Good sense wins favor, but the way of the treacherous is their ruin. 16 Every prudent man acts with knowledge, but a fool flaunts his folly. 17 A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a faithful envoy brings healing. 18 Poverty and disgrace come to him who ignores instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is honored. 19 A desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but to turn away from evil is an abomination to fools - Prov 13:15-19 ESV A DESIRE FULFILLED IS SWEET TO THE SOUL A person who has good sense is a prudent person. He has a common sense. He always acts with knowledge. In other words, he is conscientious to act and make decisions based on what he knows is best. He tries his best to follow that which is good, according to godly instruction and wisdom. He heeds reproof and take it humbly. As a faithful envoy, he brings healing. As a result, he obtains favor in life. His desire will be fulfilled and is sweet to the soul. In contrast, the wicked or the fool flaunts his folly. He bragged about his foolishness and evil deeds. In fact, the idea of turning away from evil is an abomination to them. Unless, he turn around from his wicked way, destruction is certain. [Prov 16:25] poverty and disgrace come to him surely. He is undependable. Thus, he causes problems for his untrustworthiness. How do we response from these words today? Let’s delight upon the Lord. As Psa 37:3-6 says; “Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.” ------------------------- Visit and FOLLOW Gospel Light Filipino on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram
