“I applaud Colin for the breadth of topics & people he covers. But I do have reservations about all of the beliefs & ideas propounded. Listening to these episodes reminds me to put on the truth meter & remember that even though these guests are supposed experts & write as such, they don’t hold a corner on truth, especially God’s truth.
The recent interview with Rebecca McLaughlin is case in point: she excitedly pointed to the sins of America & concluded that America has never been Christian. Well, if “Christian” means sinless, then only Christ can claim such, and we join the disciples and say “Who then can be saved?” Rather, we can look to Tom Holland’s perspective and say that though the society is rampant with sin and I transformed people, the norms & mores of the nation/ society are thoroughly shaped by Christian principles.
So, grateful that Colin has taken on this challenge to be GospelBound, as most content leaves a taste of hope in this anxious age; but caution that opinions expressed aren’t always true or holy—- or leave one more hopeful.”
