“I grew up in the non-denominational / charismatic branch of the church. I never really understood the depth of the Christian faith because everything was experience and emotion based in all of the churches I attended. I’ve been self-studying apologetics for the last year which lead me to reformed theology and preaching like Dr. MacArthur’s. This sound, Biblical teaching has brought so much peace and assurance of my faith! Every time I listen to a message I feel strengthened and I know that I’m growing in the knowledge of God (vs. feeling like I came out of a motivational speech only to to have the emotion wear off without any spiritual growth). If you have theological questions and come from a similar background that doesn’t use expository preaching, I highly recommend listening to this podcast for its solid Biblical truth. Dr. MacArthur has biblically-based answers to all your theological questions!
On a practical note, as a mother, I love the consistent length of each podcast. Messages are broken up in to ~30 minutes segments ... the actual message itself is about 23-25 minutes ... which means I can listen to a sermon almost every time I get in the car. I also listen while doing other tasks at home.
