Listen now
Description
This episode of Graying Rainbows features my friend and fellow physician Lorena de Idiáquez Bakula. Lorena shares her story of growing up as a boy in Puru, where she attended university and medical school before moving to the United States to complete her training. It was not until she had been a successful physician for several years that she was able to transition and embrace her identity as a woman. She explains that despite the challenges she feels her life has changed for the better.
