Great Lives; Great Podcast
This is an excellent thirty minute snapshot. A wonderful summary that almost always inclines one to research more into the subject. Matthew Parris is a first rate presenter, bringing humour and a relaxed air to the programme, enabling the listener to sit back and enjoy learning something new of even the most familiar subjects.

I’ve enjoyed listening to these podcasts but the dreaded postmodernist ideology is creeping in. I appreciate it’s the BBC (and they have openly admitted they are all about social justice) but this obsession with this most bizarre of ideologies is puzzling. An entertaining and informative look at the great lives of the influential people of the past. Nearly always it isn't the most famous, but the most influential, and those held in true reverence by their admirers. Really good stuff.Read full review »
