Interesting, but…
These stories are fascinating, but it irks me that hosts are so eager to give their insipid commentary about the immorality of the criminals. Their remarks are predicable, adding nothing of interest or value—just more spewing of conventional suburban takes on crime. However, I was truly shocked when, in the second episode of the Karen Aparo case retelling, one of the hosts referred to the 16-year-old criminal mastermind as “a succubus” (that is, a semen-stealing demon). Perhaps the hosts would’ve had a more interesting take had rhey examined the media that portrayed this girl in that light and the culture that rewarded such coverage.

Meh
Newer episodes are hard to listen to. It’s got a comedy club feel with how the hosts are making fun of everything and breaking into laughter every few minutes. Makes it difficult to follow along with the cases.
