“Andy as a GM and his friends on this show will give you a high quality actual play experience. He’s the type of GM you’d want to play a horror game with in that he brings humor, terror and flexibility to his show with his players. He’s got great quality in what he does but without a radio drama feel only. He does voices, he acts and he’s lucky to have fantastic players who can act and get into his masterful games. The show gives you an accurate feeling of what an “actual play” is. Not only is there serious acting and focus on character development but hilarious jokes, a sense of fun and his groups on here feel like friends playing. The GM and the players on this show clearly are passionate about history and let the adventures go in interesting directions. I’ve been GMing for 30 years so it’s rare I feel like I’ve not only gotten to learn Call of Cthulhu the RPG better but how to game better in general. I feel like Andy and his talented crew have given me a much better sense of how to do my own style better and how to use the structure of CoC better. How many people are skilled at being funny and yet deathly scary? He does both with great skill like a good horror campaign should. His dedication to improv and giving players space to develop characters and go where the story and dice say has enhanced my long time hobby in new ways. I’ve learned how to more seamlessly make my games more collaborative listening to him. The Berlin series he did turned into a work of Art and yet flowed like a great campaign would too. The show does a great job of making great theatre but not forgetting it’s doing that in an RPG with friends to have fun.”
