US-backed activists, artists, and even US politicians called for "democracy" protests and demonstrations in Cuba on November 15, 2021. The demonstration was meant to capture the domestic unrest on the island caused by the US blockade, and heightened by the pandemic and economic hardship, but ultimately flopped.
