“Wednesday’s have become my favorite day of the week, because WE’RE GRUESOME. I pour myself a cup of coffee, put on Gruesome, and gasp, laugh, and stand in awe at the cases Meg and Coni cover. As another lover of true crime for decades, I’ve really enjoyed hearing about cases that most other podcasts haven’t covered, and lots that I haven’t even heard of, too!
The rapport between these long-time friends is inviting, and it feels like I’m enjoying that coffee WITH them. The format is easy to follow, and they give pertinent information to the case without just talking AT you. Their personalities make the gnarly facts a little easier to take in by showing humanity and respect.
