Above average podcast for the below average trainer
I got my first gun dog (and dog in general) two years ago. I’ve been listening to this podcast for a year now and wish I would have started listening months before o picked up my pup. There is so much useful information on this podcast that can help the average DIY dog trainer out. Honestly, each week surprises me with the information that is out out. I especially liked this weeks podcast. I couldn’t agree more with the guest; people NA testing fully broke dogs is just silly. NA stands for natural ability, not trained ability. I brought my dog to her NA test completely blind. She saw one quail, the night before the test, that was it. Other than “here” and “sit”, she was clueless about hunt training and she still managed to get a high Prize 2 score. Another chapter member and I were talking and they stayed that their dog has probably seen a little over 250 birds and was force fetched already… How is that NA? Anyways, this latest episode really resonated with me and I look forward to hearing more episodes like it. Thanks again for keeping this podcast up for below average handlers like myself attempting to handle above average dogs!

I absolutely love that the amount of women-focused upland podcasts is growing. I love listening to likeminded women lead the conversation about their passion to train and hunt their dogs. Great content, keep it up!!

I recently got myself a Braque D’Auvergne. I’ve been soaking up as much info as I can on training and working with my pup. I appreciate the topics and time you guys put into this podcast. Keep up the good work!
