Description
Bio for Adam Cuthriell I was born and raised in Colorado and started fly fishing when I was 14. I was fortunate enough to grow up within bike riding distance of the south platte. Here I taught myself how to fly fish by learning everything that didn’t work. It was at this time is my life where me and my fishing buddies dreamed one day of guiding and outfitting in Alaska. I started guiding when I was around 19-20 years old in the summit county area. Guiding on the south platte, blue, and Colorado rivers. After about 5 years guiding here and getting tired of the increased pressure I moved to the western slope of Colorado and began guiding in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Same thing here, I started growing tired of catching the same tail water fish and decided to follow a dream and move to Alaska when I was 30. I was originally planning on just doing a season In AK. Once I arrived here it only took about 20 seconds and I realized AK was home and I wasn’t going back to the lower 48. AK treated me well! I met my wife on the 5 th or 6 th day being here and knew she was the one. With her encouragement I started FishHound in 2015. It started with me and a boat. I now have 10 guides, too many boats, and we operate out of 4 different locations. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
