Came for the info… stayed for the banter.
This delicious couple ham it up in way that makes me salivate for their next release. I started following the podcast to find out what I could learn from it about amateur radio. I found it informative, particularly for a newbie like me who decided at the ripe age of 75 to get into ham radio. In the earlier episodes, the solo host communicated info clearly and usually defined the plentiful jargon which so often clouds other podcasts. I found myself learning quite a bit as I prepared for my Tech exam. Then to my delight the host’s delightful bride started joining in on the casts and things went from really good to a completely new level of awesomeness. The combo of humor and information, the playful back and forth, and the ever present focus on things that really matter to hams and their SO’s make this a “must-listen” podcast for me, KN6JYO. 73 to all!

New listener and new to ham. Thank you guys so much for explaining things the way you do, I understand more from your conversations than I learned studying for the technician exam! Nick (Waiting impatiently for callsign)

The Ham Radio Podcasts that I typically like are the ones where the hosts are laid back down to earth people. I’m not really into the really involved tech stuff. I want to learn about the hobby: more about what I already know, as well as some possible new areas to explore. I like when the...Read full review »
