“Truly enjoying your podcast of Haunted Canada. I listen to it almost everyday and wishing that you will have more coming up soon.
I particularly enjoyed the one of Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria, BC.
In February of 2014, my two friends and I visited this home. I must say that when we were viewing the bedrooms upstairs, we all felt like we couldn’t breathe. I remember feeling like a heavy feeling was upon me and my chest was hurting.
I waited till we left the castle then only did I asked my friends if they had experienced the same feeling. They both did.
Another spooky incident happened at the Fairmont Empress Hotel that we stayed in. We decided to explore the 4th Floor above which was considered to be haunted.
We took the elevator up and just walked and did a little exploring. We came across just one person and that was it. When it time to go back down, we entered this elevator (there were only 2) which was already wide open. We pushed the ‘close’ button but nothing happened. We stood there for another 5 minutes although it felt longer. The doors didn’t even budged. We then decided to take the other elevator next to it. But it wasn’t even opening. Finally we decided to take the staircase down. We were so spooked. Upon reaching the floor below, we saw that the elevators were working.
I heard a story about a murder that happened when the hotel was being built.
I would love for you to do a research about this hotel and if anyone else had ever experienced anything paranormal at The Empress Hotel. Thank you.”
