“This is a pretty good show (not the best, not the worst) but it really irks me that James and Abigail are only FIVE YEARS APART in age, and they act as if 20 years separate them. She’s always making cracks about him being old, he’s always acting like an old G-rated sketch of a Bukowski character. When it’s like… yall… are practically the same age. Idk if it bothers me to the point of having to stop listen, but maybe! Also all the comparisons to movies and TV shows make the writing feel kinda trite. “Like that old show Dexter” “clown make up like the Joker Batman movie”. I get wanting to fall back onto those comparisons, but it just feels lazy. Sorry… I know this is kinda a mean review. It’s a good show otherwise. Thanks for creating it! Helps drown out the bad thoughts while I’m working.”
